She’s taken! Chrissy Metz is dating a composer named Hal Rosenfeld, just eight months after she ended her relationship with cameraman Josh Stancil.
A source told Us Weekly, “They’ve been dating for a few months now. He is such a sweet guy and everyone around Chrissy really likes him. He adores her and she is really into him as well.” Aw!
It seems like her new boyfriend has been under our noses all along! On Oct. 7, the This Is Us actress posted a photo on Instagram and captioned it, “Reminiscing about one special birthday weekend with a few special people at such a special place @laquintaresort. Thank you again to the lovely people who made it all possible! XO.” In the photo, she is seen leaning into Hal and putting her arm on his chest.
Chrissy has admitted that, “you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince,” but she also prefers to date someone in the entertainment business “because they get what’s going on.” Hal even has some musician credits on The Greatest Showman and The Hate U Give and Chrissy loves to sing, so it sounds like these two have a lot in common!
It seems like the 38-year-old isn’t afraid to show some PDA either. “Chrissy Metz was proudly showing off her new boyfriend, Hal Rosenfeld, over the weekend. Though she’s confirmed she’s sort of seeing someone, she wasn’t shy about it as she attended a jazz night at the W hotel in Hollywood, holding hands and snuggling close to her new beau as they enjoyed performances and a night out with friends,” a source told HollywoodLife.
In a video obtained by Us Weekly in late October, the actress said, “No, you’re not [going to see me on Bumble or Tinder soon] because I don’t need to be on those. Maybe I’ve already found [what I’m looking for.]”
