The Voice season 27 is heating up as the competition enters the Live Shows, and Adam Levine’s team is down to two incredibly strong contenders, Lucia Flores-Wiseman and Kolby Cordell. While each artist brings a completely different vibe to the stage, they’ve both proven they have what it takes to take home the win, and Adam is betting on their talent to carry his team to the finale.
Who Is Lucia Flores-Wiseman on ‘The Voice’?
Lucia has been one to watch from the moment she stepped on stage and she quickly became a fan favorite. The 22-year-old singer from Maple Valley, Washington, turned all four chairs with her Blind Audition when she sang an emotional Spanish-language performance of “La Llorona.” Her ability to infuse every note with feeling caught the attention of all the coaches, but she ultimately chose to join Team Adam.
Since then, Lucia has continued to showcase her vocal talent with a mix of bilingual performances. She’s pulled from her Mexican heritage and blended genres like indie, soul, folk and jazz. In the Battle Round, she gave a memorable performance of “My Funny Valentine,” and it earned her a spot in the Knockouts. There, she delivered a heartfelt version of Benson Boone’s “Slow It Down,” a performance that highlighted the control she has over her voice.
Lucia wowed the coaches again during the Playoffs with her stripped-down cover of The Beatles’ “In My Life.” The performance was raw and vulnerable, and it earned her a well-deserved spot in the Live Shows. With her penchant for blending different styles, her exceptional emotional delivery and serious vocal chops, Lucia brought a soulful, standout energy to Team Adam, and it might just be enough to earn her the crown this season.
Who Is Kolby Cordell on ‘The Voice’?
Kolby’s journey on The Voice has been filled with twists, and it’s made him one of the most compelling artists this season. The 33-year-old from Ontario, California, originally joined Team Legend after a smooth Blind Audition of Luther Vandross’ classic “Never Too Much.” His raspy vocals and laid-back R&B style made him a standout early on, but it wasn’t until the Knockouts that he landed on Team Adam.
During the Battle Round, Kolby teamed up with another contestant to sing “Tacones Rojos” and moved forward to the Knockouts with confidence. His Knockout performance was a soulful version of Stevie Wonder’s “Lately,” and it earned him high praise. He didn’t win the round, but that’s when Adam swooped in with a steal and brought Kolby onto his team.
In the Playoffs, Kolby got the crowd and judges on their feet with a performance of Bruno Mars’ “Finesse.” His ability to blend throwback soul with current pop flavor impressed Adam and helped him secure one of the two coveted Live Show spots. With natural stage presence and a smooth, radio-ready sound, Kolby added a different but equally strong edge to Team Adam.

Kolby and Lucia won’t perform again until the semi-final performances on May 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC. Fans can catch a recap of the semi-final performances the following night at 8:00 p.m.
