BummerHailee Steinfeld And Niall Horan Break Up After Being The Cutest Couple For 10 Months (Report)
Things can’t always last forever, even if it looks like they might! That seems to be the case with singers Hailee Steinfeld and Niall Horan, who reportedly split after being linked since February of this year. Though these two acted like they were pretty much going to out-cute every other celebrity couple on Earth for the better part of 2018, things have reportedly fizzled out for the pair, according to Us Weekly. And before you ask, yes, we’re bummed about it. Life & Style reached out to Hailee and Niall’s reps for comment.
According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, the couple broke things off some time ago. “They split months ago. Niall wrapped up his tour and had more free time, but Hailee’s work schedule really ramped up, so they didn’t have time for a relationship,” the insider shared. “They still have a lot of love for each other.” Whew! We’d hate to hear of things going entirely south for these two. They were just too adorable!
But believe it or not, fans and followers had recently noticed some changes in the couple’s behaviors toward each other and sensed a possible split. Fans were quick to notice that Niall didn’t go out of his way to send Hailee well-wishes for her birthday via social media this year, whereas last year, he couldn’t gush enough about her. “Happy birthday to the loveliest person on the planet and one of my best friends @haileesteinfeld. Have no idea what the hell is going on in this photo. Love ya hails,” he wrote to Hailee in a cute birthday tribute in 2017. Hailee is also said to have unfollowed Niall on Insta, too. And we all know what that means.
To top the whole thing off, Niall and Hailee hadn’t been seen together publicly since September. But she was spotted hanging out with her ex-boyfriend Cameron Smoller, specifically at a birthday party in early November. Fans were quick to point out that Hailee could be seen standing happily beside her ex while the party sang to the birthday girl, and considering the IG story has since been deleted, all signs point to the tides shifting out of Niall’s favor pretty recently.
Regardless, Hailee and Niall gave us a lot of hope that friendship can blossom into something more real quick, as the couple had a pretty close friendship before turning the tables on their relationship and taking the next step. So, at the very least, let’s hope this couple remains friends after all is said and done.
