Season 14 of The Bachelor won't start airing on ABC until
Jan. 4, but people are already talking about how Jake Pavelka might just be the most desirable Bachelor ever -- and not just because of his dashing good looks. "He's truly the Southern gentleman, but not in an annoying way," host Chris Harrison tells Life & Style. "Women see him as husband material. He's not a 'let's get wasted and get in the hot tub' kind of guy. He's very trustworthy."

Like any modest Southern boy, the 31-year-old commercial-airline pilot from Texas is quick to dismiss the adulation. "It's really sweet of everybody -- who wouldn't love to hear that?" Jake tells Life & Style. "I've got a big smile on my face now. But I don't think I'm the hottest Bachelor by any means. They've had a lot of great guys in the past."
