Emily Maynard's relationship with The Bachelor's Brad Womack didn't work out, but the 25-year-old's relationship with ABC remains strong!
It's so strong, in fact, the network has asked Emily to be the next Bachelorette, Life & Style has learned!
"It's basically a done deal," a source close to Emily, a single mom, tells the new issue of Life & Style, on newsstands now. "She hasn't signed the contract yet, but she's fully on board."
Emily, who's the mother of 6-year-old Ricki, tweeted just last summer "I don't want to be the Bachelorette," but now she seems to have had a change of heart.
Since splitting with Brad in May after becoming engaged to him in March during season 15 of The Bachelor, the North Carolina mom has been linked to Carolina Panthers tight end Jeremy Shockey and Most Eligible Dallas star Matt Nordgren, whom she has denied dating.
But Emily is ready to find love again, and ABC believes she's the perfect choice to star on The Bachelorette: "Emily is America's sweetheart," adds the source. "Fans are going to be thrilled! Everyone loved her."
