After Charlie Sheen admitted to being HIV-positive on the Today Show this morning, questions regarding the actor's former sex partners followed — including ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller, with whom he has four kids (his oldest daughter, Cassandra, was conceived with a high school girlfriend).
But the 50-year-old told Matt Lauer that both women have known about his status since 2011, the year he was diagnosed.

"I have a responsibility now to better myself and to help a lot of other people and hopefully, with what we're doing today, others will come forward and say, 'Thanks, Charlie,'" the Wall Street star said of his decision to come clean about his health.
But having to tell daughter Cassandra, who is 30 and has a child of her own, the news recently proved to be especially difficult.

"It hit her hard, but she recovered. She's tough like her dad," he said on Today. "I said, 'I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but it didn't seem like you could do anything for me and I didn't want to burden you with all the stress.' But she was a rock star about it."
While neither Denise nor Brooke has released a statement about Charlie's revelation, the latter, who was married to the Golden Globe winner from 2008 to 2011, had her rep confirm to E! News that neither her nor her twin boys with Charlie are HIV-positive.
