It’s not easy making a marriage work — especially in Hollywood.
Though Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have been married for 12 years, the songstress admits it hasn’t been easy.
"It's certainly been challenging for us at times,” she says. “We had to spend a lot of time apart because of our careers. I basically spent all of last year on my own because he was in his band, touring the world."
"That was hard for me, being at home with the two boys,” she continues. “But now he's home we realize how much we need each other."
And they seem to be doing all they can to make it work. In October, the pair were spotted leaving a couples therapy session in LA.
The No Doubt star married her husband in 2002 in London. The pair share two sons Kingston, 6, and Zuma, 4.
The “Rich Girl” singer met the Bush front man, 46, after one of his shows, and it wasn’t long before they were walking down the aisle.
“Here was this successful, good-looking English guy who seemed to be interested in me,” Gwen shares. “I couldn't believe it.”
And the 43-year-old says her dad knew the rock star was the one.
“When he saw Gavin on TV once, soon after we met, he said to my mom, ‘There’s your future son-in-law,’” she admits. “But I didn’t really believe it was going to happen until the day we actually got married.”
