Top 5 Entrepreneurs

Every successful business was once nothing more than an idea. While fresh ideas are a key part of being a successful entrepreneur, it takes tenacity, adaptability, and ingenuity to turn an idea into something profitable. Building a company from virtually nothing is grueling, and it’s what separates true entrepreneurs from mere dreamers.

The five entrepreneurs showcased here have all weathered the challenging process of bringing their ideas into being. However, they’ve even gone a step further — rather than focusing primarily on profits, they have opted to pursue innovative business ideas that better the world for everyone.

These trailblazing entrepreneurs are building secure cryptocurrency platforms to combat fraud, finding surprising solutions to climate change, and helping veterans build better lives. They’re also finding new ways to shake up the technology sector and working with small businesses to find the right staff.

Each of these ventures is worth celebrating on its own merit. But all too often, it’s easy to become so enamored with a business that the people behind it are long forgotten. Facing the hurdles of entrepreneurship, powering through setbacks, and maintaining the drive to keep growing and scaling takes no small measure of resilience.

With creations that have beaten the odds and grown into thriving companies, the businesses of these five entrepreneurs are more than just success stories. They’re a striking testament to the profound impact of innovation — and the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

Chad Willis

1. Chad Willis

Chad Willis, the creator of All-Scratch Technology and Plus Brand Industries, is a progressive businessman who places a high importance on sustainability. By allowing customers to instantly write their name or emblem onto glass, plastic, metal, or labeled drink containers, it reduces event waste.

The widespread but often disregarded problem of drink waste due to misidentification is addressed with All-Scratch Technology. His dedication to sustainability is demonstrated by All-Scratch Technology, a waste-reducing invention, and Agua Plus, which is produced, manufactured, and bottled in the United States using BPA-free materials.

The company was founded in 2019 and is going nationwide soon. Because of Willis’s inventive spirit, All-Scratch Technology can drastically cut pollution and transform the beverage industry.

To increase the reach of his brand, Willis has partnered with well-known people who share his dedication to sustainability and innovation. Three-time WBC super middleweight champion and newly crowned light heavyweight champion David Benavidez has highlighted the value of Agua Plus for peak athletic performance by using it exclusively as a water and functional beverage during training. As for the Plus Brand Ambassador Program, actor Dallas Dupree Young, who starred in Netflix’s Cobra Kai, has joined to promote the usefulness and ease of All-Scratch!® Technology in daily life.

“I’ve been an entrepreneur all my life,” Willis says. “When this concept came to me, I was living a laid-back lifestyle with passive income. It quickly became my next big venture.”

Jeffrey Jones

2. Jeffrey Jones

Philanthropic entrepreneur Jeffrey Jones is on a mission to improve the quality of life for homeless veterans. As the founder of the nonprofit organization Veterans Worldwide, he aims to build tiny home villages for veterans across the country and around the world.

“We want it to be a completely holistic improvement. When they do their intake, we’re going to find out the root cause of their homelessness and develop their own rehab program for that,” he says. “We’re going to have licensed counselors. We’ll get them into that if they’re eligible for work training. We’ll get their health set up and teach them about financing.”

The goal is to fund Veterans Worldwide — at least partly — with profits from his other ventures. As a skilled entrepreneur in the healthcare sector for over 35 years, he was one of the first to develop urgent care centers.

“I started opening urgent care centers in the late ’90s,” he says. “At the time, there weren’t many in the United States. In most places I went, mine was the first in town.”

Jones has also successfully launched a groundbreaking global coupon website, revolutionizing how users access unparalleled deals and savings worldwide. In July, he plans to unveil another company — an all-new social media platform that promises to change content monetization. His balanced approach is refreshing in an entrepreneurial world that prioritizes profit. Whether you’re shopping for great deals or hoping to help veterans, this is an entrepreneur you’ll want to watch.

Kimberly Rosales

3. Kimberly Rosales

Kimberly Rosales is the founder and CEO of ChainMyne, a Canadian-based, FINTRAC, and FINCEN-registered cryptocurrency platform focused on secure, personalized digital asset management. With over a decade of experience in banking, software development, and business consulting, she transitioned from a traditional financial background into the blossoming fintech industry.

ChainMyne’s mission centers on simplifying cryptocurrency transactions while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance. The company, which operates independently with its own money services license, software, and application, launched its services earlier this year. Its user-focused approach offers flexible solutions tailored to individual needs, from full integration into cryptocurrency investments to hybrid strategies.

Born in Costa Rica and raised in Canada, Rosales combines her Latin American roots with a global perspective, managing business relationships across North and South America, Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. ChainMyne focuses on personalized services that include a streamlined onboarding process and access to dedicated support.

Rosales started her career at 19 as a bank teller and quickly ascended to management by 25. However, dissatisfaction with traditional banking’s centralized control and past experiences with fraudulent practices in payment services fueled her commitment to building a trustworthy crypto exchange.

Today, she balances leadership with motherhood, raising seven boys while navigating a male-dominated industry. Rosales envisions expanding ChainMyne’s reach, with goals of increasing app downloads and attracting a high-quality user base to support the growing acceptance of cryptocurrency payment methods worldwide including the real estate market.

David Shafrir

4. David Shafrir

At the intersection of technology, investing, and innovation lies crypto—one of the fastest-growing technologies of the 21st century. But for all the buzzwords and watercooler chatter, if you weren’t working in tech, buying crypto was easier said than done. That’s why David Shafrir started Secure Digital Markets (SDM).

Before launching SDM, David spent a decade in payments and fintech, helping businesses connect with their customers through cutting-edge payment and mobile banking solutions. With a deep understanding of how difficult getting paid really is, he recognized the potential for crypto to simplify and revolutionize transactions for Canadians.

“I understood that there was a lot of demand for crypto and a general level of dissatisfaction with the status quo, but institutional access was very convoluted,” he says.

A serial entrepreneur, Shafrir has spent much of the last decade building businesses from the ground up. Including Clever Fox—which he pitched on Dragons’ Den in 2013, where Canadian investing legends Kevin O’leary and Michelle Romanoff were competing to make an investment in the business. But at SDM, his impact has truly taken off, growing it into one of Canada’s largest crypto brokerages.

Today, he enjoys life in Georgian Bay with his wife, Aubrie, and their pets, Mack and Kisa. When not working, he enjoys sailing, scuba diving, wake surfing, and vintage wines. “Life is all about balance. One must make the time to do what they’re passionate about and pay attention to what their body needs,” he says.

Rachel Orstein

5. Rachel Orscheln

Rachel Orscheln (@techcareertips) is the founder of Align Recruit Deliver, a staffing and recruitment agency with a name that speaks for itself. “I align my services with the right team,” she explains. “I recruit the top talent that aligns perfectly with the team, and I don’t stop until I deliver.”

Rachel founded Align Recruit Deliver after realizing that at many recruiting agencies, small and medium businesses weren’t receiving the attention they deserved. “There is a market of small to midsize companies with tough, key-level roles to fill that agencies only spend about 10 days working on,” she says. Align Recruit Deliver was created to serve those businesses.

Orscheln’s commitment to supporting and developing smaller businesses extends beyond Align Recruit Deliver. This year, she launched Belleader Management Group, a company designed to help businesses fine-tune leadership through consulting, framework execution, and retained executive research.

Although Align Recruit Deliver now has clients on the East Coast, West Coast, Iowa, and even Australia, both of Orscheln’s companies are based in Kansas City, Missouri. It’s an area whose culture continues to shape Align Recruit Deliver and Belleader Management Consulting for the better.

“It’s a boutique feel in the heart of the Midwest,” she says. “Trust and reputation are everything.”
