Aaron Rodgers is self-expressive and loves to tell stories through tattoos. The NFL star has added a few pieces to his collection of body ink over the years and has raved over the artwork with fans.

The professional athlete got his first tattoo in 2022 and debuted the ink that covered his left forearm.

“There’s a deep and meaningful story and connection to absolutely each element of this art piece, and I’ll share a little more about that one day,” Aaron wrote via Instagram in July 2022. “For now, just thankful for @balazsbercsenyi and his patience and artistry. #tattoo #astrology #theelements.”

Fans reacted to Aaron’s first piece in the comments section of the Instagram post.

“This is a pretty cool piece,” one person wrote, while a second fan commented, “That’s some incredible ink!!”

The California native was asked about getting mixed feedback after getting his first tattoo in his late 30s, sharing that he doesn’t care what people think.

“I am [a tattoo guy]. And I don’t care about whether you like it or don’t like it,” he said during an appearance on the “Pardon My Take” podcast.

Tattoo No. 2

Aaron got this second tattoo in December 2023 of a beautiful dragon located on his upper arm, above his first tattoo.

“The year of the dragon,” the New York Jets’ tattoo artist wrote via Instagram, before sharing a little meaning behind his work. “Second tattoo for the [goat] himself @aaronrodgers12 with a subtle hint for Aaron’s new jersey number #8.”

Reflecting on Life

“Me making a number change this year from 12 to 8, I wanted to get some sort of symbol. And eight sideways is infinity,” Aaron explained in the docuseries Aaron Rodgers: Enigma. “So, definitely wanted the infinity symbol. Then I woke up this morning, and I had an intuition about a dragon. Then it just all came together from there.”
