Mama’s gotta do what she’s gotta do — at least, that’s what soon-to-be mom Amy Duggar King is finding out as her first pregnancy draws to a close. The 33-year-old reality star got real during a late-night Instagram Stories session about how she uses online shopping as a distraction when her unborn son, Dax, keeps her up.
“I’m sitting up because I feel like this is a lot easier on my stomach than laying down right now?” she said in a dark vid posted late on August 29. “But I gotta be quiet, so like, all I do is like, shop online.”
“I have a problem,” she laughed in the next clip. “But I don’t want to make too much noise and shopping online is like, quiet, you know? So,” she added before ending the clip, presumably in an effort not to wake her husband, Dillon King. “Just a couple clicks away from being at my door,” she wrote on the vid, adding the hashtag, “#sleepdeprived.”
How did our girl Amy get here, you ask? Well, it all started because her little man in utero didn’t think it was the best idea to let his mama rest up. “OK, y’all. I’m like, wide awake because I love him, I love him, but he kicks all through the night,” she said in another Instagram Story clip.
Her solution? “So, I’m drinking some ice-cold milk,” she explained her plan. “I put ice in my milk, I know it’s weird. My grandpa did it when I was younger and taught me to do it and so now, that’s what I do,” she said before holding up her glass to the camera. “So cheers.”
“I hope you are sleeping soundly,” she captioned the vid, followed by a cute Boomerang where she proclaimed, “[Because] I’m not!” Poor gal — we feel you, mama. Someone get this woman a pillow!
