Chris Pratt Reportedly “Heartbroken” That Anna Faris Moved on So Fast
Boy, bye! Two months after Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced their split, the Mom actress has reportedly started dating again. According to People, Anna, 40, has struck up a romance with cinematographer Michael Barrett and her ex is not happy about it.
“Chris is having a difficult time trying to figure out the timing of Anna’s new relationship with Mike. Chris knows Anna met him a while ago, but when they may have started hooking up, Chris doesn’t really want to think about. It is too painful,” a source told Hollywood Life. “The last few months have been really hard on Chris. He doesn’t know what really happened with Anna or how exactly things fell apart, but they did. One thing he is certain of is that he is still very heartbroken. He thought he was going to be with Anna forever and now that is not happening.”
Anna and Michael, 47, were first spotted together in early September. The blonde beauty — who shocked fans in August when she announced she and Chris, 38, were calling it quits after eight years of marriage — have been enjoying each other’s company after working together on the upcoming film Overboard.
“Anna has been hanging out with Michael for weeks,” an insider told the outlet. “They were hanging out occasionally in September, but started seeing each other more frequently recently.” E! Online reports that Anna and Michael have stepped out in LA for a string of dinner dates within the last several weeks, including meals at Modo Mio, an upscale Italian eatery in LA’s Pacific Palisades enclave.
Though she has moved on from Chris, Anna still has so much love for the hunky actor — with whom she shares five-year-old son Jack — and she’s completely aware that they were the definition of #relationshipgoals to a lot of people. “It’s understandable that people seemed so invested in our happiness together,” she recently told People. “All I can say about that is, it’s all true, that we truly adore each other, and we love each other, I think it still comes through.”
As previously reported, Anna took to Instagram to let it be known that she and Chris were breaking up. “We are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward,” she shared in a joint statement. “We still love each other and will always cherish our time together.”
