Is Miley Cyrus Engaged? The Singer Wears a Diamond Ring on That Finger Walking the Red Carpet With Maxx Morando
Miley Cyrus can buy herself “Flowers” but she may not have bought the diamond ring recently spotted on that finger.
Page Six confirmed on Tuesday, December 2 that the pop star, 33, and her boyfriend Maxx Morando, 27, have fans buzzing after sparking engagement rumors at the Avatar: Fire and Ash, premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, December 1.
The couple posed together on the red carpet in coordinating black ensembles, and eagle-eyed fans immediately noticed a gold and diamond ring on the “Flowers” singer’s left ring finger. Francesca Consulting, which represents jewelry designer Jacquie Achie, confirmed to the outlet that Achie designed the sparkler: a cushion cut set in a 14K yellow gold band.
Miley first appeared to wear the ring in birthday photos shared on Instagram on November 23, where she blew out candles and smiled at the camera. “33 is already burning bright thanks to the warmth of your sweet birthday wishes,” she captioned. “All I want this year is more laughs with the people who give me the little smile lines that are starting to show up. 🤍 I love you all.”
Even Maxx’s father, Dan Morando, reportedly shared a photo of Cyrus’ hand wearing the ring and congratulated the couple on Instagram, according to screenshots shared by PopCrave.
For the premiere, the couple looked glamorous as they coordinated in black outfits. Miley wore a strapless black mermaid gown with a sweetheart neckline, sequins and a dramatic ruffled train, layered with diamonds on her ears, neck and fingers. Maxx complemented his partner in a black suit, wrapping his arm around her waist as they smiled for the pictures.
The couple has been together since 2021, keeping much of their romance private. Miley told Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year that her partner is “very similar to me. We just don’t take life too seriously.”
Before Maxx, Miley famously had a long on-and-off relationship with Liam Hemsworth, marrying in 2018 and divorcing in 2020 (Hemsworth is now engaged to model Gabriella Brooks).
Neither Miley nor Maxx has publicly confirmed engagement rumors — but with that gleaming ring, fans are definitely speculating.
The couple first met on a blind date, which Miley told British Vogue in May 2023, “blind for me and not really for him.” Since then, they’ve kept their romance mostly low-key—but after this sparkling premiere appearance, the Internet is watching closely.
