Ashley Graham’s Baby Bump Makes Her ‘Feel Sexy’: ‘Being Pregnant Can Be Glorious’
You go, mama-to-be! Ashley Graham and her husband, Justin Ervin, announced on August 14 that they’re expecting their first child and ever since, the powerhouse model has been a role model to pregnant women everywhere.
“Ashley’s showed her fans and the world that being pregnant can be glorious,” a source exclusively told Life & Style. “She’s not only calm and actually glowing, but she feels sexy. She’s doing yoga, posing on red carpets in gorgeous clothes [and] she’s feeling herself like never before.”
Beyond red carpet events, Ashley, 31, routinely shares up close and personal images of her pregnant body on social media — stretch marks and all. “Ashley’s feeling very bittersweet about her pregnancy. She can’t wait to welcome her baby, but she never imagined how much she would embrace her pregnancy. That’s why she says she’s going to miss her baby bump,” the insider continued.
“She’s embraced the self-care — the naps, the massages, just being spoiled by her husband. Ashley heard all these horror stories from girlfriends, and from Googling stories, but her personal experience, besides some weird cravings, has been beautiful, the source noted. “It’s been a very zen pregnancy for her.”
While most people wouldn’t consider walking the runway at New York Fashion Week a “zen” experience, Ashley handled it like a total boss. “What a night!! This show was so memorable, exhilarating and truly inspiring,” the body positivity advocate wrote in a September 9 Instagram post.
“@tommyhilfiger, @zendaya & @luxurylaw, thank you for including me! I am so grateful and proud to have been a part of such an incredible show. Thank you for honoring the importance of inclusion by representing so many different women on your runway and showing that beauty comes in many forms,” Ashley continued. “I could have never imagined the feeling of walking a runway pregnant, it was truly an honor for us to be there!”
It was an honor to see, girl! While Ashley has yet to announce if she’ll be making any appearances at Milan Fashion week — September 17 to September 23 — we certainly wouldn’t mind watching her strut her stuff again.
Of course, we wouldn’t blame her for sitting it out to spend some time nesting with Justin. “They’re so happy, and can’t wait to welcome their first child,” the source concluded.
