Aside from all the doctors and fitness coaches, this cast is also one of the most diverse in the show’s history. As for Rachel, she’s the first African-American bachelorette in the show’s history, too. If you’re wondering if she’s feeling pressure from being the face of so many “firsts,” don’t worry. She’s not.
“I don’t feel added pressure,” Lindsay said back in February 2017. “I’m honored to have this opportunity and to represent myself as an Africa-American woman. And I just hope that people rally behind me like they did in Nick’s season.”
As for Nick? He’s happy about Rachel’s new journey to find love.
“Rachel and I had an amazing amount of chemistry from the very first night,” he said. “I’m very excited for her. I think she’s going to be an amazing Bachelorette.”
