There’s no question that Bachelorette fans want to see more of Blake Horstmann. They’ve been begging to him to become the next Bachelor since Becca Kufrin sent him home in tears on the finale. But now fans think there’s a chance we’ll be seeing him on our TVs even sooner than we thought… as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars! Here’s why they’re so convinced.

Blake followed (and then unfollowed) DWTS on Instagram

Fans first starting speculating when Blake followed the DWTS Instagram account on Aug. 22. This, in itself, isn’t really that wild. It’s a popular show, he might just be a fan. However, it turned more suspicious when people began questioning him about it and he seemingly un-followed the page just 30 minutes later, according to some eagle-eyed redditors. The theory is that he got nervous that he gave his casting news away, and tried to backtrack.

He’s loving the support though

Adding fuel to the fire, fans spotted Blake liking all of the comments on his Instagram about how he should join the show. One such comment read, “please go on Dancing with the Stars, you’d be amazing!” and another said, “why don’t you go on Dancing with the Stars?”

He proved he’s actually an amazing dancer

Fans became even more convinced he’s either been cast or is trying to get the show’s attention on Aug. 23, when he posted a video swing dancing with one of the Bachelorette producers, and he was shockingly good at it. “If you guys were wondering what we did while locked in a suite at the top of the Aria… I taught swing dance lessons ???,” he captioned the video.

It’s not uncommon for Bachelor Nation stars to compete on the show

Many people from the Bachelor world have done DWTS, like Nick Viall and Sean Lowe. However, both of them competed after their stint as The Bachelor, not before. Usually, The Bachelor is announced on the Bachelor In Paradise finale show, which will be in Sept.. Filming would begin after that for the premiere in January, which he couldn’t do while on DWTS. So it seems impossible for him to be both the Bachelor and compete on the upcoming season of DWTS. Of course, he may not be the dating show’s next lead at all, which would free up his schedule.

ABC is staying mum

If Blake has had any talks about being on DWTS, ABC isn’t coping to it. When asked about the fan speculation, a representative simply said, “We don’t comment or confirm casting rumors. We will be announcing the cast in September.” Guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
