Hey, gorgeous! Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s search for love on The Bachelor didn't exactly go as planned. ICYMI, the reality TV d-bag proposed to Becca Kufrin before changing his mind and getting down on one knee in front of Lauren Burnham. Luckily, something good came out of Arie's lame mix-up — Becca is the new Bachelorette! Keep scrolling to learn more about Becca and her upcoming season.

Becca works a publicist.

According to her LinkedIn account, the 27-year-old Prior Lake, MN, native — who graduated from Minnesota St. University, Mankato in 2012 with a degree in Mass Communications — is a senior account executive at technology PR firm Skyaa. She recently joked on Instagram that her promo shot for The Bachelor could double as her profile pic on LinkedIn. "I wanted a new LinkedIn headshot so ABC helped me out," she wrote on Dec. 11. "I think I nailed that deer in headlights look ?? @bachelorabc #thebachelor"

Becca is a dog lover.

After taking a two-month hiatus on Instagram (presumably to film The Bachelor), Becca returned to the photo sharing platform on Thanksgiving Day to pose with her adorable pet Corgi while cooking in the kitchen. "Nothing like a strong bond over the love for gravy," she captioned the cute pic. "#twinning"

Becca's father passed away.

Becca's dad, Stevie Kufrin, sadly died eight years ago when she was still a teen. In Sept. 2014, she paid tribute to him on the five-year anniversary of his death. "Five years ago this man graced heaven with his beautiful soul and not a day goes by that I don't strive to be a better version of myself because of him," she wrote at the time. "Not only did he teach me kindness, compassion for all people and the world, unconditional love and patience (it's a work in progress), but also how to cast a mean line, dominate in Yahtzee and to never use glitter in the house. I'm forever grateful to be the daughter of Stevie "Buckshot" Kufrin and know one thing's for certain – I have the best angels ever. #Hallelu"

She is an outspoken Democrat.

During 2016's presidential election, Becca proudly revealed that she voted for Hillary Clinton. "I feel like the whole 'it only counts if you saw nipple' concept applies here," she wrote on Instagram after casting her vote for HRC. "You didn't vote unless you post your #ivoted sticker selfie, right? #imwithher"

Then, that following January, Becca participated one of the many nationwide Women's Marches in protest of President Donald Trump's administration. "Honestly, when people started chanting what was written on my poster, I felt like I finally made it in this world… at least for the next 2 hours," she wrote next to a photo of herself holding a sign that read, "Keep your politics away from my lady bits."

She met some of the men from her season.

Following the finale's After the Final Rose special, Becca met five Bachelorette contestants vying for her affection — and they're hot AF. #SorryNotSorry Arie, but she's got the last laugh!

The Bachelorette airs Monday, May 28 on ABC.
