Being The Bachelorette isn’t easy. So when former star Ali Fedotowsky got a chance to meet Rachel Lindsay before her season began, Ali tells Life & Style exclusively that she wanted to give her some advice.

“I told her to enjoy it, because I didn’t,” Ali, 32, reveals. “I cried all the time and I was pouty-faced all the time, so I told her, ‘Try to enjoy it.’”

Ali also encouraged Rachel, 32, to break the rules a little. “I told her to sneak in a cell phone,” Ali admits. “Producers would kill me if they knew I told her that. But you’re cut off from communication with the outside world, so I said, ‘Sneak in a phone!’”

“Rachel is the best,” Ali adds of her fellow Bachelorette. “I think she’s doing an incredible job, and I’m excited that she found love.”

Even though she wanted to see where the relationship would go, the pair didn't survive the four months between filming and the live After the Final Rose special. The publicist went on to marry Joe Waterman in May 2009, and they have two daughters, Mae Elizabeth and Charlotte Grace.

DeAnna Pappas (Season 4)

The Georgia native went so far as to set a wedding date with fiancé Jesse Csincsak, but they broke up just four months after the finale aired. The real estate agent later married Stephen Stagliano, the twin brother of former Bachelorette contestant Michael Stagliano, in October 2011. They currently have two children, Addison and Austin.

Jillian Harris (Season 5)

The Canadian accepted Ed Swiderski's proposal, but the duo split a year after the finale. The Love It or List It Vancouver star is currently engaged to Justin Pasutto, and the couple welcomed their first child, son Leo, in August 2016.

The advertising account manager got engaged to Roberto Martinez in 2010, but they broke up a year and a half later. The blonde beauty married radio and TV host Kevin Manno in March 2017, eight months after welcoming their first child, daughter Molly Sullivan.

The former dental student married her pick, J.P. Rosenbaum, on Dec. 1, 2012, in a televised wedding. The pair has since welcomed two children, son Fordham and daughter Essex.
