They got hitched! Basketball Wives star Tami Roman and her longtime boyfriend, Reggie Youngblood, got married in a secret wedding ceremony in Las Vegas, Life & Style can confirm. According to their marriage certificate, the couple tied the knot on August 17, 2018 — which means they’ve been married already for 10 months.

Tami, 49, and Reggie, 32, have been together since 2013, and they sought out couples therapy on WE tv’s Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars very early on in their relationship. One of the main issues they discussed on season 5, which aired in 2015, was their 17-year age difference. It wasn’t the question of their compatibility that worried Tami though, she was more worried about the fact that Reggie wanted children and she might not be able to give him that.

It was a running issue throughout their relationship, and they addressed it again head-on during a very emotional scene that aired during season 7 of Basketball Wives. Reggie was ready to take their relationship to the next level and propose to Tami, and she seemed on board at first — but then she started having second thoughts and she sat the former football player down to tell him that she wanted to pump the breaks on their marriage talk.

“What I’m saying to you without sugar coating it, like — I’m afraid,” Tami told Reggie. “I love you and I do feel like I want to spend the rest of my life with you but at the same time, if we engaged and we plan a wedding well it’s like, you haven’t had kids. You want children, but what if I’m like, ‘I don’t want no kids.’”

She also explained that she was afraid of getting married because she didn’t want to go through another divorce since she already went through one with her ex-husband, former NBA star Kenny Anderson. Reggie was upset, and the couple took a few days apart in order for him to collect his thoughts. But when they reunited for a date night, Reggie told Tami that he was willing to wait until she overcame her fears.

The Blast was first to report the news about Tami and Reggie’s wedding.
