If these California wildfires have taught us anything, it’s that we’ve only got so much time. And pop legend Britney Spears is on the same exact wavelength. According to Hollywood Life, the fire that caused her to evacuate her Thousand Oaks home on Nov. 13, has her thinking towards the future and beyond. For Miss Spears, that hopefully includes an engagement to her boyfriend of almost two years, Sam Asghari, because an insider claims she doesn’t want to “waste a moment.”

A source close to Britney told Hollywood Life how much the fires have truly affected the pop star. “Britney has been very shaken up by the fires. She’s feeling so lucky to be out of danger with her family, but it’s still very emotional for her. She’s going to be making a lot of donations to help the victims and she’s making a point to let everyone in her life know how much she loves them,” an insider revealed. We feel you, Brit.

With the holidays coming up, this would also be the perfect time for Sam, 24, to pop the question Britney, 36, has reportedly been waiting for. “She and Sam are already like two peas in a pod, but this tragedy has made her even more aware of how lucky she is and how very much she loves him. She knows she wants to spend her life with him, he’s her Prince Charming and the fires this week have reminded her how very precious life can be and it’s made her really focus on not wasting one moment. Britney’s more eager than ever to get engaged to Sam and she wants it to happen over the holidays this year,” the source revealed.

After wrapping her four-year-long Piece of Me residency in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve 2018, she’s had a lot of time to spend with Sam, and clearly, it’s made her more excited than ever to be with him for the long haul. Hopefully, they’re still “seriously considering” a Hawaii wedding, as Life & Style reported exclusively in January. These two lovebirds definitely deserve a ceremony with their toes in the sand!
