The wait is over—Camp Rock 3 is officially happening! Disney confirmed the long-awaited third installment of the beloved musical franchise, with filming already underway in Vancouver, Canada, from mid-September through the end of October.
The excitement started even before the official announcement when Demi Lovato reunited with the Jonas Brothers on stage at the opening night of the JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour to perform hits from the first two movies, sparking speculation that the trio—and Demi—were returning to Disney Channel magic.
Now, not only are the Jonas Brothers back on-screen as Connect 3—Nick, Joe, and Kevin reprising their roles as Nate, Shane, and Jason Gray—but they’re also serving as executive producers, alongside Demi Lovato. During a concert in Raleigh, North Carolina, Joe Jonas teased the film’s completion, joking, “Camp Rock 3 wrapped yesterday and I don’t think I was supposed to say that.”
The movie’s plot picks up when Connect 3 loses their opening act for a major reunion tour. They return to the iconic Camp Rock to find the next big talent. Along the way, campers compete for a shot to perform, friendships are tested, and unexpected romances blossom. New campers include bold Sage and her laid-back brother Des, cello prodigy Rosie, drummer Cliff, choreo queen Callie, influencer Madison, and camp bad boy Fletch.
Disney Branded Television president Ayo Davis shared, “Camp Rock is an important part of the Disney Channel Original Movie legacy, with unforgettable music, energetic storytelling, and characters that live in the hearts of fans to this day. Bringing it back with Kevin, Joe, Nick and Demi is such a full-circle moment, and we can’t wait to reintroduce this world to a new generation.”
