Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner, and More Stars Who Dated Their Friend’s Ex

Bella Hadid and Selena Gomez both dated The Weeknd.

After dating for more than a year, Bella and The Weeknd split in November 2016. Just a few weeks later, Selena was photographed kissing the "Starboy" singer, which prompted Bella to unfollow Selena on Instagram.

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift both dated Taylor Lautner.

Selena and Taylor both dated the Twilight star briefly in 2009, and apparently it wasn't serious enough to cause a rift in their friendship. To this day, the two pop stars are still friends.

Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid both dated Joe Jonas.

Taylor split with Joe back in 2008, which was rocky enough for Taylor to pen "Better Than Revenge" about him. So how did she feel when fellow "girl squad" member Gigi started dating Joe in 2015? Surprisingly, Taylor was totally fine with it. They even went on a double date.

Drake and Chris Brown both dated Rihanna.

Although the pals appeared to be getting along back in 2010, that all changed when Drake was spotted making out with Rihanna in 2011. Although Drake and Rihanna maintained they were just "friends," this angered Chris, who got in a fright with Drake's entourage in 2012.

In 2016, when Chris was asked if he was still friends with Drake, he answered, "Nah, I'm cool."

Kendall Jenner and Taylor Swift both dated Harry Styles.

It appears Taylor can't keep her friends from dating her exes! After splitting from Taylor in 2013, the One Directioner was spotted having dinner with Kendall in 2015. Their relationship was later confirmed by Kendall's sister, Khloé Kardashian , a few months later.

And to solidify her non-allegiance with Taylor's "girl squad," Kendall took Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's side during the #KimExposedTaylor feud.

Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz both dated Sean "P. Diddy" Combs.

Jennifer had a high profile romance with P. Diddy from 1998 to 2001, and Cameron had a few casual flings with the rapper in 2008. When asked about rumors of a feud in 2012, the ladies dismissed the it as just gossip.

Katy Perry and Taylor Swift both dated John Mayer.

Taylor had a short romance with John back in 2009, spurring the now famous song she wrote about the breakup, "Dear John." Katy and Taylor seemed cordial from 2008 to 2011, but that all changed when the "Fireworks" singer started dating John. As we all know now, the two are now enemies.

Drew Barrymore and Kristen Wiig both dated Fabrizio Moretti.

Drew and Fabrizio's relationship might have ended in 2007, but The Strokes drummer was back in her life again five years later, albeit in a different way — through his new relationship with Drew's close friend, Kristen.

"It all seems so wacky and incestuous, but that’s kind of how life works," Drew said back in 2012. "It seems fitting that they would find each other. I was like, 'Right, of course, that makes perfect sense.'"

Nikki Reed and Nina Dobrev both dated Ian Somerhalder.

Nina dated Ian for four years before splitting in 2013. Soon after, Ian and Nikki started dating and eventually tied the knot in 2015. Although both Nina and Ian tried to be friendly exes (after all, they were Vampire Diaries co-stars), Nina's relationship with Nikki understandably suffered.

Taylor Swift and Ellie Goulding both dated Calvin Harris.

Not only did Ellie date Calvin briefly in 2014, she also was the one to introduce Taylor to Calvin when they dated from 2015 to 2016.

"I did play matchmaker, that's true," she admitted in 2015. "Calvin is a really great mate and he's so fantastic, and Taylor is such a cool person who I love. I thought, 'They're both really awesome and both really tall, they'll be brilliant together.'"

Nikki Reed and Ashley Greene both dated Ryan Phillippe.

Nikki was spotted with Ryan back in 2007, and Ashley dated the actor in 2013. This didn't seem to affect the ladies' relationship, as they were spotted together looking chummy in 2015.
