Channing Tatum Returns to Instagram, Shares Clips of Daddy-Daughter Date With Everly
He’s back and in action! Actor Channing Tatum took to his Instagram Stories for the first time since August to share a bunch of adorable photos and videos during a sweet date with his daughter, Everly Tatum, on November 15. The 39-year-old originally made a declaration that he was staying off social media in the summer so we’re pretty stoked about this ~return to the screen~.
In a series of several snaps and vids, Channing and his 6-year-old explored an arcade and a Medieval Times-esque show (possibly Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur Hotel?). Plus, the dynamic duo made their way to the Bellagio Hotel’s famous water show and partied down in their hotel room. All in all, it seemed like a fabulous evening — and a great way to get back into the world of the internet.
The Alabama native announced his decision to step back from social media in early August with a small note on his Instagram feed.
“I’m gonna take a break and come off socials for a minute. I’ve been trying to get inspired and create again. And to be honest, I don’t really feel, or at least I haven’t felt very creative on social in the last couple years now. I’m gonna go and just be in the real world for a while and off my phone. I’ll probably come back at some point. But if I do, I want to have a clear direction or a clear point of view of why I’m on here and what I’m putting out there,” he wrote, before signing off with, “Love ya! See ya after a while! Chan.”
Since his split from ex-wife Jenna Dewan, it seems as though their daughter has adjusted quite well (and Dad being off the ‘gram probably helped a bit). In fact, the tiny tot has really gotten in good with his new girlfriend, singer Jessie J.
“Jessie has passed the biggest test of all — Channing’s daughter Everly loves her,” an insider told Life & Style exclusively. “Everly warmed up to Jessie almost immediately after meeting in Los Angeles. It’s a sign, not only that Jessie and Everly get along tremendously, but that Channing and Jessie are getting serious.”
