Newlywed Chris Pratt Reflects on Marrying Katherine Schwarzenegger: ‘God Heals a Broken Heart’
He’s back on the grind, but reminded of the good time! Chris Pratt took to social media to chat with his friend and gym buddy, Jay Glazer, on his first post-wedding weekend — and it seems like the actor couldn’t help but gush about the big day. In fact, he even gave a religious shoutout regarding the union with his now-wife Katherine Schwarzenegger.
“My dude got married this weekend,” the Fox Sports insider dished on his Instagram Stories in a video with the 39-year-old posted on June 11. “Already working out at the gym. I’m proud of you, you look like a totally different guy!” We gotta hand it to the actor for that seriously level of dedication, y’all.
“That’s what 12 pounds of wedding cake will do to you,” Chris laughed before getting a bit more serious about the big milestone. “Hey, God is good. God heals a broken heart.”
The adorable couple tied the knot on June 8 in a gorgeous San Ysidro Ranch in front of their friends and family, according to Us Weekly. The luxury 500-acre resort in Montecito looked incredible in photos and we can only imagine how much love surrounded the duo on for their monumental moment.
The newlyweds even issued a joint statement on each of their Instagram accounts on June 9 following the wedding, only changing around attribution for their outfits based on who posted. Such a “We’re married” move.
“Yesterday was the best day of our lives! We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love. It was intimate, moving and emotional,” the statement read. “We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives. We are so thankful to our families and our friends who stood with us, and grateful to Mr. Giorgio Armani, who created a once in a lifetime dress for me to wear, and for Chris, the perfect suit.”
The sweet declaration concluded happily: “This morning we feel nothing but blessed.”
