Naughty or Nice? Celeb-Inspired Christmas Lingerie for All Your Holiday Fun
If these sultry Christmas lingerie styles mark our names on the naughty list, we don’t want to be nice. Stars from Kim Kardashian to Mariah Carey know a thing or two about pulling off this kind of seasonal attire. While a quick google search will pull up a few (okay, a lot) of tacky Christmas lingerie options, we’ve taken inspiration from celebrities to sieve out the tasteful ones. So much so, you’ll be giving Vixen (the reindeer) a double entendre. So, whether you are looking for a curve-hugging corsets, tinsel-tinged thongs, or bras that are the tannen-bomb, we have just the outfit for yule (puns totally intended). Happy shopping!
Lingerie vocabulary — what the tags and titles mean
Maybe you’re the type who runs into your favorite lingerie store, grabs your go-to bra, and dashes out. Or you’re a lingerie fanatic who spends hours ogling at the fancy lingerie sets on Agent Provocateur’s website. Either way, here’s a quick rundown of what’s what in the lingerie world that may not be self-explanatory.
Teddy:
Teddies are basically like one piece swimsuits, but much more sheer and a lot less coverage. They’re tight fitting — though occasionally you can find looser variations — and typically made out of lace. Teddies are often very comfortable too. You’ll just have to figure out the best way to use the restroom on your own.
Babydoll:
The babydoll is the empire waist of the lingerie world. It’s fitted at the top then the dress flows out from under your bust (which is super flattering). You can wear it by itself or you can throw in a lacy thong or G-string. Hey it’s Christmas, why not go all out? Because it is looser fitting, you can get away with eating those cookies for Santa.
Garter belt and garter straps:
A garter belt is snazzy piece that sits right above your hips. Attached to it are garter straps, which have clips on the end that hang down to your mid thigh to keep up stockings Just make sure you know how to get out of it (if your man can’t unhook a bra strap, this isn’t a task to give him).
Corset:
This is one that you’re probably familiar with, especially with the waist training trend à la Kardashian sisters. In lingerie terms, a corset wraps around your waist, sucks you in, and pushes everything else up and out. Your curves will be accentuated, but be careful not to tie it too tight.
Basque:
This corset/teddy/garter belt hybrid is fabulous because it’s a 3-in1 deal. Most of these look just like a teddy but include garter straps that hang down and include a built in corset for accentuating the waist. Yes, efficiency can be sexy.
Kendall Jenner — Back in (Holiday) Black
Christmas or not, black is a killer color for lingerie. Kendall looks like she’d be freezing in her skimpy bra and garter, but we know this’ll warm you and your boo up on a cold winter’s night. Unlike momager Kris Jenner — he or she will be the only person seeing you in this. An all black set with a corset and garter or high-waisted panties and tights is the way to go — let the early unwrapping of gifts commence.

Mariah is a veteran Christmas lingerie fan. If she’s not dancing on stage or performing in it, she certainly has a decked out Christmas tree to wear it in front of come December. Her satin robe and matching set underneath were straight fire in 2013, but we dig her laid back cazh bra and plaid shirt ensemble. Who has the time to look fancy 24/7. This flannel PJ set is definitely more low key, but certainly far from frumpy.

While Miley’s skimpy sequined ensemble is coated in these small, hot red embellishments, you can scale it down with something that has a few tasteful bursts of sparkles. We know…the word “themed” is pretty cringey. We promise that there are at least some holiday pieces that you won’t want to burn. As a Victoria’s Secret angel, it’s hard to find something Miranda can’t pull off. If you’re not feeling the Mrs. Claus lingerie vibe, this set is the embodiment of a snow angel and is covered in frothy white lace. See? Themed and still hotter than a yule log.
