They don’t want him to get healthy, so he went and got healthy! DJ Khaled is a high-powered producer and a devoted father, and in 2018 he decided that the only thing that could make his life even better would be to get in shape. Just like everything else, he went all in with it. We can’t believe how much progress he’s made in just four months, already rocking nearly 30 pounds of weight loss!

“Man. Weight Watchers is going good,” he told Page Six in February. “The freestyle program is doing real big. It’s a real lifestyle because all you have to do is not go over your point [total]. And there are so many zero points [foods] in case you get hungry. I got the freestyle dance.” At that point he was down 26 pounds, but he checked in with fans later in the month, he already hit almost 30! “I want to be clear, I’m not in no race to get rid of weight, but I got rid of 29.2 pounds and I am very proud of myself to continue to be healthy. I’m just having fun with this,” he said.

Khaled says he’s never going to give up, and he’s “so grateful” for the opportunity he’s been given to take his health more seriously. It all started when he announced a partnerhsip with Weight Watchers on New Year’s Eve, and he’s stuck with it ever since. He even has a freestyle food truck that he brings out to meet fans and help them get healthy too.

We’re sure DJ Khaled’s beloved son Asahd is another huge inspiration for him to get fit. The precious little boy was born on Oct. 23, 2016, and the producer has been obsessed with him since the second he was born. Khaled brings the one-year-old to award shows, shows him off on Instagram, and constantly uses the hashtag #FatherOfAsahd to show his pride. It’s so cute! We’re just happy to know he’s doing everything he can to be around to watch his little boy grow up.
