The actress revealed she found love again and has been in a relationship for “almost a year” in an interview with The Daily Mail published on April 8, 2025.
Chrissy declined to share her boyfriend’s identity and revealed why she hasn’t shared any social media photos of her boyfriend.
“It’s so great, it’s been amazing. It’s been really, really wonderful,” the Homestead, Florida, native said about their romance, adding that she followed her therapist’s advice that putting a relationship on social media for the world to see is the “worst thing” one can do.

“I think that when you keep trying things and expecting different results, that’s called the definition of insanity. And I’m like, yeah, you know what? I think I want to just keep it very private and just enjoy it,” Chrissy told Us Weekly in an April 10, 2025, interview about why she’ll be keeping her romance to herself.
“And what’s the intention of talking about it and sharing it?” the actress continued. “I am just being very cautious and careful.”
Even though she has no plans to discuss her boyfriend openly, Chrissy said she feels “very, very good” about where their relationship is heading.
What Happened to Chrissy Metz’s Relationship With Ex-Boyfriend Bradley Collins?
Chrissy started dating ex-boyfriend Bradley in 2020 after meeting on a dating app.
“Basically, every night feels like a date night,” the American Horror Story star gushed to Us Weekly in January 2021 about their relationship. “We, like, cook for each other and, you know, we get to do fun stuff when we watch movies and our favorite TV shows.”
The duo collaborated on the children’s picture book, When I Talk to God, I Talk About You, which was released in February 2023.
Chrissy and Bradley announced their breakup seven months later in an October 2023 joint Instagram statement.
“After three and a half years together, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship amicably,” the former couple wrote at the time. “While we continue to love each other very much, we believe this is the best path for us both. We still have books to write, songs to sing, and a special friendship to keep us in each other’s lives forever.”

The duo released their second children’s book, When I Talk to God, I Talk About Feelings, in April 2025.
“It’s the second picture book in our children’s series and navigates little ones’ big feelings with faith and prayer. I simply can’t wait for this to be in the world,” the former preschool teacher told fans in a March 27, 2025, Instagram post.
Has Chrissy Metz Ever Been Married?
Chrissy tied the knot with British screenwriter Martyn Eaden in 2008. The duo met two years prior via an online dating site and started a long-distance relationship.
The marriage came at a time when Chrissy was working to build an acting career while dealing with her issues involving food. She and Martyn split in 2014.
“I was trying so hard to get ahold of my relationship with my body and break my habit of eating my emotions and of equating food with sharing love. I didn’t know how to spend time with Marty without using,” she wrote in her 2018 memoir, This Is Me: Loving the Person You Are Today.
‘We’re just not the right fit. But I love him, and I’m always checking in on him,” the star shared in the book about where things stood following their divorce. “I am still working on being a better ex-wife than I was a wife.”
