These two are literally #couplegoals. Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have been together since November 2008, and the rest is history. But how exactly did their love story begin? Scroll through the gallery below to see their relationship timeline.
John and Emily met through a mutual friend at a restaurant in 2008. “I was sort of aware that he was vaguely recognizable,” she joked on Late Night With Seth Meyers. “It’s like kind of a sad, lame story. Not sad, it’s just kind of lame. I was sitting with a mutual friend. My friend goes, ‘Oh my god, there is my friend John’ and that was it! It’s cinema gold.”
John proposed to Emily in L.A. “She did cry after I cried,” he confessed to Access Hollywood. “Then everyone around us was crying. Then, I think people weren’t really sure what was going on, but they were crying because we were crying. But it was great. At the end of the day, she said yes, which is great.”
The blonde beauty explained what it’s like being married to The Office alum. “All I can say is that it’s an effing blast,” she told MANHATTAN magazine. “It’s just great, and I’m so happy.” Ugh, you two.
She’s here! The Massachusetts native posted an adorable snap of his little bundle of joy on February 16, 2014. “Wanted to let the news our directly,” he wrote on Twitter. “Emily and I are so incredibly happy to welcome our daughter Hazel into the world today! Happy bday!”
John took to Twitter to share the news that his daughter was born on July 4, 2016. “What better way to celebrate the 4th … than to announce our 4th family member!!!” he wrote. “Two weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet #Happy4th.”
It was announced that the couple would be working together on A Quiet Place. “Question: ‘John, who’s the one actor you’ve been wanting to work with?’ Answer: (see above),” he wrote on Instagram, which showed a picture of himself with his wife.
“I’ve always been the biggest fan of her, but not until you’re in the room when she does what she does do you know why she’s so phenomenal,” he said during an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. “She’s unbelievable. The most talented, powerful … kindest person. She makes everyone around her better. So honestly, that was my experience.”
