Emily Blunt Admits People Thought She and John Krasinski Would Get Divorced After Acting Together
It looks like Emily Blunt and John Krasinski dodged a major Hollywood bullet! On January 27, following the 25th annual SAG Awards, the actress, 35, admitted that despite everyone’s doubts, working with her hubby, 39, brought them closer together. Take that, people!
“My favorite thing about shooting A Quiet Place for sure was working with John,” the mother-of-two gushed to reporters. “We had never done it before and it is kind of the great unknown.”
“You go into this process not knowing what it’s going to be like. A lot of people were like ‘You’re going to be divorced by the end of it,’ but we were so much closer,” Emily continued. “I think the discovery of how we collaborated and could create something together was just so special.”
Special, indeed! Based on Emily’s touching speech after snagging the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for A Quiet Place, it’s clear that what she and John have is unbreakable.
“Oh my goodness me. Guys — that truly has completely blown my slicked hair back,” Emily began. “Thank you so, so, so much. I am so moved and completely lost for words and unprepared.“
“I am going to share this completely with my husband, John Krasinski, because the entire experience of doing this with you has completely pierced my heart,” she told the audience. “You are a stunning filmmaker. I am so lucky to be with you and to have done this film with you.”
John’s reaction? Oh, you know, he just legit cried … no big deal. Sigh. These two seriously are #RelationshipGoals on #RelationshipGoals. Here’s hoping that they work together for many years to come! A Quiet Place 2, perhaps?
