With ABC's recent announcement of Arie Luyendyk Jr. as the new Bachelor, many members of Bachelor Nation are wondering where they've heard that name before. The answer is: On Season 8 of The Bachelorette, aka Emily Maynard's season in which she notoriously chose Jef Holm, to which Arie was her runner-up.

Arie was one of the original 25 lucky guys competing for the blonde beauty's heart. Despite losing the competition to Emily's now ex Jef, Arie is making a romantic comeback with his Bachelor return. But while many know what Emily is up to these days — recently giving birth to her fourth child, married to Tyler Johnson, managing her beauty and fashion website — tons of viewers are still curious about the rest of the Season 8 cast. From Arie to Jef to Sean to Tony, where are Emily's former beaus now?

Arie Luyendyk Jr.

Though he didn't get Emily's final rose in 2012, he's back in the Bachelor ring as of this year. “He’s wanted to star on The Bachelor forever,” a source tells Life & Style. “He’s gotten close a few times. They’ve dragged him along before.”

Though it's already off to a fishy start. He allegedly broke up with his girlfriend Sydney Stempfley two days before ABC's announcement. Suspicious. Other than that, he's a race car driver and real estate agent and is no longer besties with former friend Jef Holm.

Despite the worries, Arie is so ready for love! "I’ll be 36 in a few weeks, so for me it’s time," he said on GMA. "All my friends around me, you know, have kids and have grown up. So for me, I feel like I’m the last one of my friends to really take that step."

Can't wait until the finale to find out who Arie picks? Check out our spoilers here.

Jef Holm

"I stopped being friends with him years ago because he's disgusting," Jef said on Twitter of his former friend Arie since the Season 22 Bachelor was announced. Aside from feuding with Emily's ex, Jef created Rise Festival — a lantern ceremony based on his experience in Thailand. Rise is a festival that features musicians and after sunset, a releasing of eco-friendly lanterns, inspired by a similar ceremony Jef attended while traveling abroad.

Jef and Emily broke up three months after he proposed in the season finale of The Bachelorette. After much media speculation that their engagement wasn't the real deal, Emily had to deal with many allegations that she was unfaithful during their relationship.

"I felt like I couldn’t trust anybody,” Maynard has said of her past relationship and the media attention it caused. "I stayed home, I lost weight, I cut off my hair, I was doing anything to make myself feel better. It was very lonely. I felt totally isolated."

Kalon McMahon

He declares himself as a social entrepreneur, serial philanthropist, and best-selling contributing writer on Twitter. Kalon can often be found tweeting about financial stability and wellness, as he's the Financial Wellness Strategist for Financial Finesse. In his post Bachelorette days, he's also contributed to Forbes. He even had a very short stint on the TMZ TV show.

Kalon hasn't only made a splash in the financial world — he also appeared on Bachelor Pad, where he fell in love with former Bachelor contestant Lindzi Cox. The couple has since broken up but has gone public with exactly what went wrong.

"After the show we both put effort in making it work, but as most people know having a long distance relationship can be tough. I was willing to go the extra mile but unfortunately Kalon wasn't in a position to meet me halfway," Lindzi told Wetpaint.

There was also some talk that Kalon might've cheated, with reports swirling that Kalon was spotted — by Lindzi's mutual friends — at a pool in Vegas, surrounded by girls, when he was supposed to be coming to Lindzi's for her birthday.

Ryan Bowers

The Augusta, Georgia native popped the question to his girlfriend Ana back in 2014. "She said yes to becoming my trophy wife!!" he wrote on Instagram at the time, accompanied with a picture of the engagement ring. The couple has since had a little tyke named Boston. Ryan works as a personal trainer and has eight years of professional football background to draw from. He's the owner of ATHELITE Sports Academy.

Sean Lowe

Sean found love with Catherine Guidici on his season of The Bachelor and in 2016, the couple welcomed their first child together, Samuel. The couple exclusively told Life & Style that they are thinking adoption when it comes to adding onto their adorable family.

"We talk about it," Sean explained. "We haven’t taken the step to actually do our research and reach out to social workers and things like that, but I think it’s in the future."

Catherine chimed in with, "We want a big family. I think that Samuel is such a good boy and we’ve really been focused on him and really getting back to being comfortable in this stage because it took a long time. The first couple of months were really hard with Samuel and now we have a really good groove, so it’s kind of hard to disrupt that because it’s a rough road."

"Pregnancy and having the baby — it’s a big commitment," she continued. "I’m excited about getting his big boy room ready, just in general because he’s going to get out of his crib soon and that will be a fun new project."
