The Perfect Date! Emma Stone and BF Dave McCary Make a Rare Appearance at the 2019 SAG Awards
What’s a better date night than a glamorous award show? Emma Stone and her boyfriend, Dave McCary, looked happy as ever as they attended the 2019 SAG Awards on Sunday, January 27.
It looks like her longtime beau, 33, was there to support the actress, 30, who was nominated for two awards — Female Actor in a Supporting Role for The Favourite and Female Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie for Maniac. The two laughed and were even photographed alongside Bradley Cooper.
While it’s not super common for Emma and her director boo to be seen out and about, they also attended the Golden Globes after party together. Sources told Us Weekly the couple was seen getting super cozy.
“Emma and Dave were super touchy-feely and affectionate, which seemed to make Taylor [Swift] more comfortable doing the same with Joe [Alwyn],” an eyewitness told the outlet at the time. “It seemed like a very fun and light-hearted date night.” The La La Land actress and the SNL writer began dating in 2017 — her first relationship since breaking things off with Andrew Garfield after four years together. So far, Emma and Dave have been going strong.
Like any young couple, the two enjoy going on fun dates and were spotted at a skating party thrown by Emma herself and Haim in December 2018. Onlookers revealed to the outlet that the couple was “attached at the hip,” and even added that Emma was “smiling and giddy.”
“They stood right next to the stage in their skates for all of Haim’s set, dancing together and singing along,” said the source. “At one point, they slow-danced to a somewhat upbeat song. He initiated it and she excitedly followed. They held hands [with] his other hand around her waist and hers around his shoulders.”
