Oops!A VS Fashion Show Designer Seemingly Reveals Gigi Hadid And Kendall Jenner Will Walk This Year
Uh-oh! It looks like the secret’s out. According to shoe designer Brian Atwood, it seems that both Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner will walk in the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Though neither of the supermodels have confirmed attendance, they will reportedly show off Brian’s designs on the runway.
The shoe designer shared photos of both Gigi and Kendall on Instagram, teasing their presence in the show which takes place sometime next month in New York.
“Can’t wait to see this beauty @kendalljenner strutting in my shoes for the @victoriassecret fashion show… less than a month away!!!!” he wrote in an Instagram post regarding to Kendall. When referring to Gigi, Brian added, “Less than 1 month away!!!! Let’s do this @gigihadid @victoriassecret. Can’t wait to show you what we have done for the show!!!!”
This caught many by surprise since both models were absent in the 2017 fashion show. Kendall didn’t audition; it was rumored that she was unable to attend last year due to a conflict of interest she had in a contract with La Perla — a Victoria’s Secret rival. Meanwhile, Gigi was confirmed to attend at first, but reportedly didn’t show up because of complications entering Shanghai, due to her visa being denied.
It seems that no matter the outcome, these two are always in sync. Gigi and Kendall made their debut together on the VS Fashion Show runway in 2015 and received their wings the following year in Paris, and we’ve been wanting to see them participate again since then.
In 2016, the pair of best friends were joined by Gigi’s younger sister, Bella Hadid. That was the last time the trio participated in the same VS Fashion Show, as Bella returned in 2017 without them. There’s still no sign if Bella will make a return as well, though we would love to see these three reunited at one of the most anticipated fashion shows of the year!
