Haylie Duff Reflects on Having More Kids: 'I Feel Really Content at 2'

When it comes to fairy tales, three is the magic number. However, when it comes to Haylie Duff’s family, the longtime actress has other ideas! “I feel really content at two,” Haylie, 34, exclusively told Life & Style of having more kids.

“I feel like we have our family and I don’t feel like anything is missing. I feel pretty settled at two,” she continued while promoting her partnership with Eggland’s Best, Haylie’s go-to ingredient/fridge item to keep her loved ones energized. “It’s kind of what I’d always thought I’d have two, like when I was a little girl I was thinking ‘I’m going to have two kids,’ you know? So, I feel pretty set.”

Of course, Hilary Duff’s big sister is referring to her darling daughters, Ryan, 4, and Lulu, 17 months. While bringing a new baby into the home can be challenging for some siblings, Ryan is thriving! “Oh my gosh, this child is like a dream, she really is. She’s the most loving and she’s like so kind. She loves her so much. She’s just the best,” Haylie gushed of the pair’s instant bond.

“There’s never been a moment where she was unhappy she had a new sibling or upset that the baby was getting extra attention. Like this weekend, I said to her, ‘Ryan, I know that Lulu is getting a lot of attention this weekend and everybody was clapping for her and cheering for her whenever she would walk, but I hope you know that I’m so proud of you every day, too, just like that because you’re such a kind friend and you’re such a great big sister. I’ve been so proud of you with your numbers and your letters recently — you’ve been doing such an amazing job,’ the Material Girls alum recalled.

“And she looked at me and she goes, ‘Mom, you guys weren’t the only ones cheering and clapping for Lulu. I was cheering and clapping for her, too.’ I was like oh my gosh, this kid. She’s just way better than me in every single way,” Haylie concluded her heartwarming story.
