Here’s How to Watch the 2026 Golden Globe Awards — Where to Stream, Time and More
Awards season officially kicks off with the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, and Hollywood’s biggest stars are getting ready for a night full of wins, snubs and surprises.
This year’s ceremony will once again be hosted by Nikki Glaser, who is returning to the Golden Globes stage after earning praise for last year’s show. As she prepares to take the mic, the comedian has been open about just how tricky it is to roast some of the most powerful people in entertainment — especially when you actually like them.
“It’s very delicate,” Glaser admitted during an interview with CBS Mornings, explaining that crafting jokes that land without crossing a line is “one of … the most difficult jobs I’ve ever done.”
She added that some stars are simply off-limits — or at least require extra care. “I’m trying out my monologue around L.A. at the clubs here, and just even any joke about Julia Roberts, they’re not there for. You cannot make fun of America’s sweetheart,” Glaser said. “Whatever I end up saying about her, it is the most fine-tuned joke I have worked on so hard because it is very delicate.”
The Golden Globes, which first launched in 1944, are considered one of the most prestigious entertainment awards honoring excellence in both film and television. According to the awards’ official website, winners are selected by an independent body of international journalists. In recent years, the Globes have also expanded their scope — and 2026 will once again recognize podcasts, marking the third new category added since 2024. So, when and where can you tune in?
