“Other fake news that’s going around about me is that I’ve been taking weird pills 4 weight loss or doing weird fad diets,” the 37-year-old wrote on Twitter on Thursday, May 16. “All of this is not true. I ain’t got time 4 all that.” Tell ’em, girl!
Other fake news that’s going around about me is that I’ve been taking weird pills 4 weight loss or doing weird fad diets. All of this is not true. I ain’t got time 4 all that. I eat the same stuff I always have. It’s all just made w/different flours/sugars/ingredients. #DrGundry

It turns out, the singer is just mixing things up in the kitchen and focusing on making healthier swaps. Her post continued, “I eat the same stuff I always have. It’s all just made [with] different flours/sugars/ingredients.” The “Broken & Beautiful” songbird also credited Dr. Steven Gundry in her tweet which leads fans to believe that she’s been following his dietary suggestions.
He is the man behind The Plant Paradox — a book that strongly encourages people to cut the number of lectins (a type of protein) they digest. According to his website, lectins are found in foods such as bread, pasta, grains, potatoes, rice, corn, peppers and beans. Basically, his diet focuses on strengthening gut health and cutting out foods higher in lectins. Kelly is clearly a fan!
The Voice judge is obviously feeling good on her new diet and it looks like she has made a full recovery since getting her appendix removed (literally) hours after hosting the Billboard Music Awards on May 1.
“Kelly Clarkson has been suffering from appendicitis all week [and] had her appendix removed this morning — yet last night she flawlessly hosted an award show and sang two songs without showing any sign of discomfort,” a fan revealed on Twitter.
The “Because of You” artist confirmed the news after a safe and successful procedure. “Not gonna lie … I may or may not have broken down in tears after the show from pain,” she tweeted in response. “BUT thanks [to] all the amazing people [at] Cedars-Sinai [Hospital]. I flew home directly after the event, nailed the surgery early this morning, [and] feeling awesome now! Bye, bye appendix.”
You’re amazing, Kelly!
