Abby Lee Miller Is Struggling in Prison — but She’s Still Stuck Behind Bars for Awhile (EXCLUSIVE)

As Life & Style previously reported, prison has been a rude awakening for Dance Moms alum Abby Lee Miller, who checked into the Federal Correctional Complex in Victorville, CA, on July 12. But when exactly does the choreographer get out of jail? Given that her sentence is 366 days, she has another seven months to go — if she isn’t released early. As it stands right now, Abby will be a free woman again on July 13, 2018.

The 51-year-old made sure to throw a few punches before her time behind bars. During a Lifetime special titled Dance Moms: Abby Lee Tells All, she opened up about former student Maddie Ziegler‘s blossoming career, and how she’s been cut out of her success. “That’s not the kid I raised,” Abby said. “I don’t think had she not been in my studio, she would be where she is today. And I can confidently say that. I’m not gonna say that I ‘made’ anybody, I didn’t make her, her mom and dad created her, but I certainly added my two cents in.”

Maddie seemingly shaded the studio owner when asked if she was surprised by her legal troubles. “Eh, I don’t really think I have anything to say about her,” the 15-year-old said. And sister Mackenzie, who also appeared on the series, reportedly blocked the Pennsylvania native on Instagram.

An ex-inmate told Life & Style that Abby “was bawling” when she arrived at the jail. “She had just gone through the strip search, and that’s pretty hard to take,” Holli Coulman shared. “She has these fits of hysterical crying. A very good friend of mine described it as ‘bats–t crazy crying.'”

She added, “She’s been cleaning the bathrooms, toilets, and showers. The staff shine flashlights in her face and make comments, and the inmates want to see her taken down a peg.” But while it’s been a big adjustment, she does seem to have a few fans. “She can teach a dance class outside, in the dirt, and a lot of people will take it,” Holli said.
