Doll – whose real name is Lolita Callender – gained an audience by posting provocative videos and music videos on social media. She currently has more than 53,000 followers on Instagram and more than 29,000 subscribers on YouTube.

After the shooting made headlines, Doll’s brother opened up about the incident while speaking to Guyana newspaper Stabroek News.

“I was inside at home when I hear gunshots and run out to see was what, only to see me sister lying in she car and blood, if you see blood, pouring out,” he told the outlet. “We rushed her here… I can’t tell you where all she was shot, but she was shot in like her face, her side, I don’t know where else… Blood, so much blood everywhere. She lost a lot of blood but she is a fighter.”

Doll’s brother went on to explain that he didn’t get a good look at the shooter because he was focused on getting her to the hospital. Meanwhile, the outlet noted that Doll was joined by several other family members and friends at the hospital.

Stabroek News also reported that police arrested one person in connection with the shooting and the suspect has been cooperating with authorities. However, the name of the suspect has not been released as of time of publication.

Meanwhile, Stabroek News also reported that police issued an arrest warrant for US sanctioned businessman Paul Daby Jr, who is also known as Randell, in relation to the shooting.

Prior to the shooting, Doll took to Facebook to share a live video about recent threats she had received.

According to Stabroek News, she explained that she had been feuding with a woman named Sonia, who she claimed had been posting negative content about her online.

After Doll failed to get in contact with Sonia, she said she reached out to her child’s father, “Randell,” who said he was aware of their issues. Doll went on to accuse Randell of sending “hit men” to threaten her. However, she did not clarify how Randell or his “hit men” allegedly threatened her.
