Influencer Natalie Reynolds Announces Her Engagement After Trolling Fans with Fake Breakup

TikTok influencer Natalie Reynolds, who is known online for her imitations of other creators and ragebait posts, has trolled her fans in the most elaborate way yet.

On January 12, Reynolds posted a TikTok announcing that she and her partner of four years, Zack Huelsman, had split.

“Zack and I are no longer dating,” Reynolds said, beginning the video. “This is a really hard video to make considering the fact that we have filmed together almost every single day for the past four years. Um, I never thought I was gonna be making this video, um, it was kind of just something that happened abruptly.”

“A lot of people thought I paid Zack to be my boyfriend which just wasn’t true, our relationship was 100 percent real,” she continued. “I have been so stressed out about the situation that my ears literally won’t stop ringing. I know everything happens for a reason and I wish nothing but the best for Zack. I will be posting more about this situation tomorrow and I just wanna say that I love you guys. We love you guys. And I just ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”

While she did not directly say that they broke up during the video, she did write “we broke up…” on the screen and in the caption.

She then went on to post several more videos about experiencing a breakup and being single, including a “get ready with me” video that contained a hint of what was to come.

She started the video by saying, “Get ready with me for day one of never seeing my boyfriend again.”

She then continued, saying, “As you guys may know, me and my boyfriend are no longer dating and this has seriously been one of the craziest times of my life, so sorry if I, like, keep crying in the middle of it.”

She then told a fabricated story about her boyfriend cheating on her with a friend, leading to their breakup.

However, as she told the story, for a split second, a photo of her smiling while wearing an engagement ring flashed onto the screen.

Some fans began to pick up on the signs, but Reynolds continued posting breakup-centered content.

Then on January 14, Reynolds posted a video claiming she would soon be “revealing the truth” about her “breakup.”

“I have been keeping something secret from you guys, and I think it’s finally time for me to come clean,” she said in the video, “As you may know, I’m no longer dating my boyfriend and we’re both moving on to a new chapter of our lives. I’ve been nervous to talk about this because I just don’t know how the internet is going to engage with it, but you guys are also a part of my life so I need to share this with you.”

She then promised a big reveal, saying, “Later today, I will be posting one of the craziest videos of my entire life, revealing the truth about my entire relationship and just clearing everything up.”

The video in question, posted a few hours later, showed footage of Huelsman proposing to Reynolds in front of a heart-shaped arch of white flowers on a beach.

In the caption, Reynolds simply wrote, “no longer dating we are engaged 💍 ❤️”

In the comments section, some viewers congratulated her, while others remained confused or pointed out that her fake breakup to hide her engagement seemed to be copying another popular TikTok couple.

“I’m so happy for yall!!!!” one fan commented.

“IS IT JUST ME OR THIS IS ACTUALLY SO CUTE STOP🥹” another fan said.

“I can’t tell if this is legit or fake,” another viewer chimed in.

“am I the only one who is confused cause she was just saying a few days ago about their breakup now this?💀💀” another confused viewer added.

Reynolds then went on to post several more videos showing off the ring and doing couples trends with her new fiance.
