Inside Country Singer Morgan Wallen’s Private Struggle ‘With Life as a Superstar’

A magnet for controversy! Morgan Wallen, 31, raised eyebrows when he abruptly walked off the Saturday Night Live stage before the credits rolled on April 2, later writing “Get me to God’s country” on an Instagram shot of a private jet.

“I doubt he meant to make a statement, but he does what he wants — and he wanted to leave,” says a source exclusively to Life & Style.

The country singer, who was ordered to complete a DUI program and was put on two years of probation in December after pleading guilty to throwing a chair off a rooftop in Nashville, “has had a year of huge highs and lows,” adds the source.

“He’s been privately struggling with life as a superstar,” the source says. “He misses doing ‘regular’ things and no longer trusts many people. It’s been really hard on him.”
