Tana Mongeau Sets the Record Straight About Her ‘Love Life’: ‘I’m Just Doing Me’
Single and thriving! Tana Mongeau took to Twitter to set the record straight about who she may or may not be dating these days. “Seeing all the assumptions about my love life currently cracks me up,” the popular YouTuber, 21, began on Monday, January 20.
“I’m just doing me. Editing. Smoking weed,” Tana clarified. “I’m actually dating weed. Clip that.” To be honest, we were hoping that Tana and fellow influencer David Dobrik were a little more than friends, but we appreciate her honesty, nonetheless.
Plus, after everything she went through with Jake Paul, perhaps being on her own is what’s best! Although Tana and Jake, 22, remain good friends, the Las Vegas native did admit they’re relationship took a toll on her mental health.
“I’m so unhappy with the way my relationship with Jake looks in the public eye. I’ve done so much pretending that I don’t care what I do … so, it’s my fault, you know?” Tana expressed in a December 30 video.
“The second that Jake and I got married, I just feel like everything changed,” the MTV reality star said of the pair’s July nuptials. “The wedding night was just hell for me.”
Since uploading her vulnerable explanation, Tana and Jake have officially gone on a break. “I’ll never know what the future holds and I will always love Jake and everything we did,” she wrote on January 3. “I’m grateful to know throughout this I’ve made a best friend for life and found someone to do life with when no one understood me.”
Tana continued, “Here’s to 2020, working on us and my new Lamborghini since I get half of everything! No need for crazy speculations — this is coming from a place of nothing but love.”
Now that Tana’s romantic life is at ease, we look forward to seeing her kill it like the independent queen she is! (We still ship Tana and David, though, just saying!)
