A family who works out together, stays together. At least that seems to be Jana Kramer and her husband Mike Caussin‘s motto when it comes to their health. The 35-year-old actress exclusively gushed to Life & Style about how she and her fam stay motivated to exercise.

“So it’s great,” she said at the STRONG by Zumba Workout event with celebrity trainer Erin Oprea recently. “Working out has become a family workout so Erin uses it to train me but now she trains all four of us.” Erin is a personal trainer and published author who works alongside celebs to help them reach their fitness goals.

The One Tree Hill alum revealed that because working out is made fun, her family actually enjoys it. “The kids come out, they dance. My husband’s out there too doing this,” she continued. “We’re all just having a good time and we make it fun for everybody. My daughter’s doing the same stuff that I’m doing, just with no weights. But STRONG by Zumba it’s great though because we’re able to incorporate the music and they love dancing around.” Jana and Mike share two children together — 3-year-old Jolie Rae and 12-month-old Jace Joseph, so this is probably great for their motor skills.

However, her hubby is her main workout partner. “We’re always working out together,” she said. “I’m always dragging him into my workouts. I like to workout with people which is why I love STRONG by Zumba is because it’s a community and a lot of people.”

How does Jana stay motivated through these intense workouts? It’s all about having the perfect playlist. “It’s been great too because [Erin] knows how much I love music and the workout as well. STRONG by Zumba has amazing music that was curated for these workouts that keep everything on beat, and it’s just a really high-intensity, impactful workout for your body,” she added.

Erin couldn’t help but agree with her client. “I want people to learn to enjoy fitness because it doesn’t have to be boring,” she confessed. “Smile through it, have fun. There’s no better way to do it than having good music and the best thing about these workouts — not only are they amazing workouts, they’re going to make pretty muscles but they are on point for music.” Sign us up!
