And the cutest couple award goes to … Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez! Too bad that wasn’t a real award at the 2020 Golden Globes, which took place on January 5. However, if it was, you can be sure they would have our vote — especially after seeing how lovey-dovey these two were on the red carpet.
The 44-year-old baseball legend couldn’t take his eyes off the 50-year-old pop star, and we don’t blame him. After all, she looked stunning rockin’ a green, gold and white dress with a massive bow. He looked pretty sharp himself in his classic black and white tux, and together they made for a dang handsome pair!
The engaged couple frequently attends events such as this one together, which makes Alex a super supportive beau. This time around, he was at the awards show to honor J. Lo for receiving Best Actress in a Supporting Role in any motion picture for Hustlers.
It’s clear that Jen and Alex have a strong foundation, and a lot of that is thanks to how much they have in common. “We’re very similar,” the singer told GQ in November. “We’re really alike in our drive, in our ambition. He’s an athlete. He wanted to be the best. I’m the same way. I just want to be great at what I do. We’re both like that. We’re both super-hard workers. We’re driven by our passions. And we have a tremendous amount of respect for each other.”
In addition, they look out for each other. “Everybody in the room can be talking, and if he says something, I key in on it, and if everybody in the room is kinda in his ear and I go, ‘I don’t think that’s the right thing,’ he’ll hear me … he’ll listen,” she added.
Jennifer continued, “He knows I only have his best interest at heart, and I only want him to thrive and succeed and to be his best self. And I believe that he wants that for me. He wants me to be seen and to get what I deserve. Like, he’s made his half a billion. And he’s like, ‘I want you to have that.'”
