Jennifer Love Hewitt and Husband Brian Hallisay Make First-Ever Joint Public Appearance
Jennifer Love Hewitt and her husband, Brian Hallisay, are notoriously private about their relationship, but the couple stepped out together for a rare public appearance at ABC’s End Of Summer Soiree, held at Cecconi’s West Hollywood on Friday, September 5.
Posing for photos on the red carpet, Hewitt and Hallisay, both 46, were all smiles in matching black outfits. Fans got a glimpse of the couple who have been married for more than a decade, but rarely seen together in public.
The pair first met in 2011 while working on the NBC pilot Love Bites before reconnecting the following year on the set of The Client List. They began dating in 2012 and tied the knot in November 2013—just five days before welcoming their first child, daughter Autumn.
“I wore the only thing in my closet that fit me!” Hewitt told E! News in 2014 about her wedding day. “Which was a really nice cotton maxi dress and that was it!”
The couple went on to welcome two more children: son Atticus, 10, and son Aidan, almost 5. A few months ago, Hewitt shared a sweet Father’s Day tribute to Hallisay on Instagram:
“Brian Hallisay you are the best one. The way you love our kids is everything. The way you get misty eyes when proud of them. Protective when someone makes them sad. Calm when they are hurt and then misty eyes again when they are okay and better. The way you show up for them will be the greatest gift they receive. They are so excited to spoil you today and I’m so happy to watch you be celebrated. I love you with all I’ve got. Happy Fathers Day! 🧡”
Brian has taken a step back from acting in recent years, aside from guest appearances on 9-1-1, where he reunited with Hewitt in 2018 to portray her character’s abusive husband.
“Oh, he just loves me. He chooses me every day, he’s really kind,” Hewitt gushed to ET at the time. “He takes care of our kids when I can’t. He’s the best. I honestly couldn’t be luckier. He couldn’t be more opposite of the character on the show, very important for people to know.”
In November 2024, Hewitt commemorated 11 years of marriage with Hallisay on Instagram, writing:
*“This is us. 11 years married! I’m so grateful we had a little date today to celebrate. I always confuse our actual date by one day and you love me for it. Happy Anniversary my love. Love you always and forever. ❤️”*
