Fist pump! Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situtation" Sorrentino reached a major milestone.
The 34-year-old guido is celebrating one year of sobriety and shared the exciting news on Instagram.
"1 year clean and sober," read the image he posted on the social media platform, along with a muscle and Italian flag emoji.
The MTV star, who became famous for his drunken antics on the boardwalk, has struggled with substance abuse for years — and ended up in rehab in 2012.
"Because of the parties and the traveling the percentage on recovery is not the best,” he told People. “It was extremely hard and it took every ounce of effort for me, and I just put my head down and kept moving forward.”
He continued, "No drugs, no prescription drugs, no hard drugs. None of that stuff.”
His former co-star Snooki has also been open about her decision to cut back on drinking since becoming a mom.
"I could smell the sake bombs in the bottle,” she wrote in her book. “My milk was so full of alcohol, I could have used it to start a bonfire in the yard. I could have cleaned the toilet with it.”
Following his time on the show, Mike went on to appear on Marriage Boot Camp: Season 3 with his longtime girlfriend Lauren Pesce and more recently Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition.
"When I had gotten out of Jersey Shore, I had a year to settle down and find out who I was, and I wasn’t in the best shape,” he said. “I had to rebuild myself inside and out.”
The cast recently celebrated the seven-year anniversary of the reality series, which premiered in 2009.
