Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Skips out on ‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Trip to Seaside Heights Amid Baby Mama Drama
The cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation returned to Seaside Heights — but where was Ronnie Ortiz-Magro? Ronnie did not join his castmates to visit their old stomping grounds in New Jersey while filming Season 2 of their hit MTV reality series earlier this week, and sources revealed that it has something to do with the recent physical altercation he allegedly got into with his baby mama Jen Harley.
"Ronnie is in Vegas with his daughter. His family flew out there to be with him," an insider told Us Weekly. "Ronnie stayed back. He’s recovering from his injuries. He was hurt pretty badly and needs the time to heal."
On Sunday, June 24, Jen was arrested on domestic battery charges after she allegedly draggged Ronnie with her car following a heated argument while they were driving in a car on their way home from a barbecue with their two-month-old daughter Ariana in the backseat. Jen allegedly hit Ronnie in the face while she was driving and he asked her to pull over so he could get out of the car and that's when she allegedly drove off, dragging him for an undisclosed distance. Jen's bail was set at $3,000 and she was released later that day. But Jen maintains that she is not the aggressor in their fight.
The tension between Ronnie and Jen has intensified in recent months since he returned to Las Vegas, which is also the location for Season 2 Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. It's unclear if fans will get to watch the drama play out on the show, but one thing is for certain — Ronnie did not film during the cast trip to Seaside Heights. He was visibly missing from fan-shot footage of the cast walking the boardwalk, according to local newspaper Asbury Park Press.
