We love a fresh-faced style queen. On Monday, October 14, Jessie J went makeup-free while running errands in London. Beyond that, the “Masterpiece” singer, 31, wore an incredibly trendy outfit, including a Stella McCartney T-shirt, camouflage cargo pants, a leather jacket and high-top Converse x Comme des Garçons sneakers.
So, what was Channing Tatum’s ladylove doing out and about in her hometown? For starters, Jessie stopped to get some gas — how pedestrian of her! Then, the pop star hit the health food store with her mama, Rose Cornish.
Of course, we aren’t entirely surprised to see that Jessie was going grocery shopping. After all, over the course of her R.O.S.E world tour — which wrapped on October 2 — the vegan A-lister wasn’t too pleased with her meal options.
“I’m seriously considering opening a hotel JUST to serve GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY, SEASONED, TASTY VEGAN FOOD,” Jessie began a rant on October 9. “Hotels need to sort it out. It’s always expensive AF. Unseasoned/raw [vegetables] and three bits of tofu (but only when you ask it to be added) and maybe rice, if you are lucky. Oh, and a ‘special pasta’ with a tomato sauce isn’t good enough,” she continued.
“Vegan food doesn’t mean bland and boring and cooked badly. I MISS MY KITCHEN SO MUCH.” You tell ‘em, girl! Considering Jessie’s decision to go vegan was to combat chronic illness due to fertility issues, we can understand her frustration.
As it happens, a plant-based diet wasn’t her first option. In fact, Jessie started off by cutting out sugar. “Once I cut out sugar, I realized how much I began to enjoy food when it was good for me — and it was balancing out everything — my health, my moods, my sleep,” she told Plant Based News in July.
Shortly thereafter, Jessie decided to go fully vegan and has been doing so for over a year now. Here’s hoping she was able to stock up on all her favorite goodies and cook herself a great, flavorful meal … ahem, with seasoning.
