‘BIP’ Star Joe Amabile Reveals How GF Kendall Long Feels About Him Spending So Much Time With ‘DWTS’ Partner Jenna
There have been many romance rumors between Dancing with the Stars competitors and their professional partners over the years, and some have even lead to lasting relationships. But that can create issues when the pro and star are both in happy relationships, like Joe Amabile, who is dating his Bachelor in Paradise girlfriend Kendall Long, and Jenna Johnson, who is engaged to Val Chmerkovskiy. On Oct. 29, Joe and Jenna appeared on The Bobby Bones Show to reveal how this season of DWTS has affected their relationships.
“He’s a genuine, good guy, and I love spending countless hours with him,” said Jenna about her dance-challenged partner. “I think it would be really miserable if he just sucked at dancing and then was also a really sucky person.” But her glowing review prompted this question from one of Bobby Bones’ co-hosts.
“Y’all are spending tons of time together and liking each other, are y’all having any issues within your relationships because y’all are both so cool and good looking and awesome?” Luckily, that doesn’t seem to be an issue! “No, I think we have, we formed like a brother/sister relationship right off the bat,” said Joe. “She’s like the little sister that I’ve never had, and Jenna’s fiancé is like the coolest dude in the whole world, he’s such a good dancer, he’s on the show.” Jenna even revealed that since getting kicked off, Val has helped Joe with some of his dancing.
“The perks of having a fiancé that dances and that has been eliminated, I’m so sorry baby, but he comes and helps Joe and [Joe] sees what it’s like to do as the male figure, and yeah, no, we don’t have issues,” she promised.
Joe admitted things are better than ever with Kendall right now too, and even responded to a question about when he might propose. “Um we are taking it day by day, but we are living together,” he said. “We really got together after the show, so probably like three months. The Bachelor world really expediates relationships.”
It looks like Joe and Jenna are genuinely friends, and so are their significant others. Just days ago, the two couples went to the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride together for some spooky fun, so it looks like there’s no jealousy at play here!
