Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Celebrate Their Engagement With a Star-Studded Party
It’s a cause for celebration! Just three weeks after Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner announced that they were engaged, the couple gathered their famous friends and family to celebrate with them at an engagement party on Saturday, Nov. 4 in NYC. The DNCE singer and the Game of Thrones star looked adorable as they arrived together to the event, and they even had a rare moment of PDA as Sophie, 21, linked her arm in her 28-year-old fiancé’s arm as they walked in together.
The happy couple chose the Mamo restaurant as the venue for their bash, sources revealed to E! News, and even though they restricted their guest list to about 30 close friends and family, it was still a star-studded affair. Joe’s DNCE bandmates Cole Whittle and JinJoo Lee were in attendance, and so was Joe’s famous brothers Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas — and Kevin’s wife Danielle.
Guests were treated to an “intimate dinner” at the Italian eatery, noshing on truffle pizza and the truffle ravioli, and they each took turns giving speeches and toasting to the bride-to-be and groom-to-be, and many of them also gushed over the newly engaged couple on Instagram.
“Celebrating love with family and friends!” Joe’s oldest brother Kevin captioned a series of fun photobooth shots, and Joe’s youngest brother Nick wrote, “Beautiful night celebrating beautiful people.” Meanwhile, film and TV producer Jeff Kalligheri, who is the person who introduced Joe and Sophie, wrote a heartfelt message to them in his caption.
“Love these two people and when I introduced them last year I did it knowing that [Sophie] has one of the biggest hearts in the world [and] [Joe] would respect her and recognize her for how amazing she really is [and] would be smart enough not to let her go once they met,” he wrote. “Thanks for letting me be a part of your love story guys, wishing you an eternity of love, health, and happiness.”
