After Hilaria Badlwin shared the news of a miscarriage on Thursday, April 4, it seems like Justin Bieber is feeling pretty badly about the April Fools’ pregnancy prank he and wife, Hailey Baldwin, pulled. According to a source who spoke to Life & Style exclusively, the singer, 25, may be regretting the whole thing.

“Justin feels horrible for posting the April Fools’ fake sonogram picture on Instagram after hearing about Hilaria’s miscarriage,” they told us.

On Monday, April 1, Justin went above and beyond to trick fans when he shared a photo of what he later revealed was a fake sonogram of a baby. He took it a step further when he posted photos of Hailey, 22, seemingly getting checked by doctors. After he finally came clean, he received plenty of backlash for being insensitive to people who can’t get pregnant, which led him to defend the joke.

If U thought it was April fools

“There’s always gonna be people offended, there’s also people who don’t take jokes very well, I am a prankster and it was APRIL FOOLS’,” he wrote on Instagram. “I didn’t at all mean to be insensitive to people who can’t have children.

“A lot of people I know, their first go-to prank on April fools’, is telling their parents they are pregnant to get a big reaction. But I will apologize anyway and take responsibility and say sorry to people who were offended,” he continued.

“I truly don’t want anyone to be hurt by a prank … It’s like when I shoved cake in my little sister’s face for her birthday expecting her to laugh but she cried. You sometimes just don’t know what will hurt someone’s feelings, not to compare pregnancy with cake in the face, but it’s just to paint the picture of not knowing what will offend. Some might have laughed but some were offended … I think with pranks, you sometimes have to roll that dice,” he concluded.

Just three days later, Hilaria, who is Hailey’s aunt by marriage, shared the devastating news that she’s experiencing a miscarriage in a heart-wrenching post. “I want to share with you that I am most likely experiencing a miscarriage,” the 35-year-old wrote alongside a photo of herself in her underwear while cradling a small bump on April 4.

“I always promised myself that if I were to get pregnant again, I would share the news with you guys pretty early, even if that means suffering a public loss.” She noted, “I think it’s important to show the truth … because my job is to help people by being real and open.”

Our thoughts are with Hilaria and husband Alec Baldwin during this difficult time.
