Duchess Kate Goes ‘More Glam’ as She ‘Prepares to Become Queen’: ‘She Must Have Spent Over $200,000’
While there’s no denying that Duchess Kate (née Middleton) has always had impeccable style, the beloved royal, 37, has definitely upped her game in recent months. “Everyone has been commenting on how great she looks,” a royal source exclusively told Life & Style magazine.
“She’s going more glam as she prepares to become queen,” the insider revealed. “Kate began training for her future role last year, which not only involves shadowing Queen Elizabeth II but working with royal aides, who are advising her on how to act and look the part, too.”
So, how much money does a royal revamp of this magnitude cost? “With a closet full of new clothes, she must have spent over $200,000 on her queen makeover,” the source dished. Of course, Kate didn’t limit her spending to just clothing.
“She has a stylist and a hair and makeup team who tend to her every need,” the insider noted. As it happens, though, the proud mother of three doesn’t require too much primping in the hair department.
“Kate’s never needed extensions, because she’s lucky enough to have thick, glossy, to-die-for locks — but she also enjoys experimenting,” the source explained, adding that Kate “is loving her new lighter color,” and that everyone has commented “the new shade has knocked years off and suits her skin tone.”
Perhaps the most important part of Kate’s newfound beauty regime, however, is her commitment to self-care. “She’s dedicating at least an hour a day to ‘me time,'” the source said, “which could mean having a facial, a mani-pedi or shopping, usually online, with the help of her stylist.”
If that doesn’t sound royally enjoyable, we don’t know what does! In addition to all of the praise from palace courtiers, Kate’s husband, Prince William, is also beyond smitten with her makeover. “He’s blown away by Kate’s new look and jokes she’s a ‘yummy mummy,'” the source said. “Kate truly is feeling more confident than ever.”
