Kelsea Ballerini Fans Rejoice After Singer Announces New Album Title ‘Mount Pleasant’

Kelsea Ballerini has just announced that she’s releasing a brand-new album, Mount Pleasant, on November 14.

On November 5, the Cowboys Cry Too singer teased fans with an Instagram video of herself swinging in a park, captioned simply, “I sit in parks…”

The next day on November 6, Ballerini officially revealed that she would be releasing a new album, writing, “i sit in parks. available at midnight. mount pleasant, a six-song collection, available november 14 💚.”

The album’s tracklist includes:

  1. “I Sit In Parks”
  2. “People Pleaser”
  3. “Emerald City”
  4. “587”
  5. “The Revisionist”
  6. “Check On Your Friends”

Fans and fellow celebrities have been flooding her post with support and excitement. Country star Ashley Cook commented, “iconic. chills. yes.” Other fans wrote, “WE ARE SO BACK” and “A new KB EP, we so won!”

Many are also speculating about the meaning behind Mount Pleasant. One fan pointed out, “Why is no one talking about that Mount Pleasant is where Outer Banks is filmed…”

Others have their own theories, particularly about the track “Emerald City,” speculating it may reference Wicked. One fan wrote, “if ‘emerald city’ has any kind of connection to the ‘wicked’ emerald city & how a place is sometimes not as glittery & wonderful as it seems i promise you i’ll lose it. 💚👀😭”

Ballerini also announced that her single, I Sit In Parks will be released at midnight on November 7. She wrote on Instagram, “welcome to the park, where daydreaming and crash outs, “what a life” and “what now?”, wandering and wondering…are all at play.  the clock is ticking. “i sit in parks” official video premieres at midnight est 🕰️🌳”.

This new album follows the release of Ballerini’s Patterns in 2024 and Rolling Up The Welcome Mat in 2023.

Patterns was Ballerini’s first album to debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Its single, “Cowboys Cry Too,” featuring folk singer Noah Kahan earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

The 33-year-old also earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album for Rolling Up the Welcome Mat.
